Do Aesop offer a packaging bring-back scheme?

In 2018, we launched a packaging bring-back scheme known as Rinse and Return in Hong Kong, inviting customers to return their emptied plastic and glass cosmetic packaging to Aesop signature stores and counters across the city,

Following its success, in April 2020 we expanded this offering to customers in Taiwan. Later, in May 2021, we also introduced the initiative in Singapore. Currently, we are only able to accept the return of glass packaging in Taiwan.

Recycling rates in these markets are comparatively low, and this initiative contributes to improving recycling awareness and rates. By offering customers a convenient solution to return used glass and plastic packaging for recycling, we aim to reduce used packaging from Aesop, and from other cosmetic and personal care companies, going to landfill.

We are continuing to investigate and evaluate the most effective way to recycle our packaging and minimise our environmental impact in other markets. In most instances, local public recycling services remain the most effective way to recycle waste with the least amount of environmental impact.
